The Orsay Museum

 

Firstly built by Victor Laloux for the Universal Exhibition in 1900, the Orsay Museum is housed in the train station building, located In the centre of Paris on the banks of the Seine, opposite the Tuileries Gardens. Then it became a national museum devoted to Arts Movement, displaying collections of art from the period 1848 to 1914. This is home to countless masterpieces and historically important works of art, various artistic movements are represented such as Academism, Realism, Impressionism, Symbolism, Art nouveau…
